Crossing the Line

Dubbed ‘unforgettable’ by the New York Daily News and ‘fascinating’ by the Hollywood Reporter, Crossing the Line (2006) tells the story of James Joseph Dresnok, a US Army private who stunned the world by walking across the demilitarised zone that divides Korea into North and South, at the height of the Cold War.

Craig Armstrong worked with Sister Bliss (Faithless) and Heather Fenoughty to produce a soundtrack that conveys both the tension and wonder of Dresnok’s journey, sitting alongside narration from Heathers star Christian Slater. The film was produced and directed by Daniel Gordon, edited by Peter Haddon, and with cinematography from Nick Bennett. It was a Sundance nominee in the Grand Jury prize for world documentary in 2007.
